The ERC offers a unique and dynamic program focused on educating both university students and the public about the horse. Students work closely with faculty amidst modern care, management and scientific facilities located on the university 1,438 acre campus.
The W. K. Kellogg Arabian Horse Center is home to approximately 85 purebred Arabian horses used in Equine Sciences’ teachings, outreach, research and internationally recognized breeding and training programs. Facilities at the center include 38 acres of pasture, three barns, foaling stalls, a breeding area, a veterinary clinic, a farrier shop, four arenas and a grandstand.

The Farm Store at Kellogg Ranch is located at AgriScapes with campus farm, orchard, nursery and apiary products. Delicatessen, locally grown fruits and vegetables, organic and health foods are available 7 days a week.

The Meat Science facility is part of the Animal & Veterinary Sciences department at Cal Poly University. It is a working facility for students studying in the areas of Veterinary Science, Animal Science, Food Science, Hotel & Restaurant Management and a host of other majors.
The green houses include over 40,000 sq. ft. of green house and shade house space that supports instruction, research and production of edible and ornamental plants. This includes the Raymond Burr Orchid collection, Weeks Roses research and rose breeding facilities.
