Gifts of securities such as stocks, mutual fund shares, or other appreciated assets can be a great tax-efficient method for making a gift to Cal Poly Pomona. In most instances, you can take a tax deduction for the full market value of the gift and avoid any capital gains tax.

Matching Gifts

 Your Gift Times…Three…or Even Four!

When you make a gift to Cal Poly Pomona, you can multiply the effects of your generosity by taking advantage of a corporate matching gift program. These programs allow you, as an employee, to direct your organizations philanthropy to benefit Cal Poly Pomona. Contact the Human Resources or Employee Benefits Office at your company to discover if they will match your gift.

You may also qualify under the matching gift program of a company from which you retired, at which your spouse works (or retired), or whose board of trustees you serve. If you discover that you can procure additional funds for Cal Poly Pomona, please complete the appropriate forms and send them along with your gift.
