ASI Alumni Chapter Formation Underway
Associated Students Inc. (ASI) in partnership with the Cal Poly Pomona Alumni Association officially formed the ASI Alumni Chapter in August.
Past ASI alumni who have taken interim leadership roles in this new chapter include: Harold Katzman, acting chair (ASI president, 1978-1979); Deanna Cangialosi, acting co-chair (senator-at-large, 1992-1993); and Marianne Diño Kish, acting secretary-treasurer (ASI 0resident 1993-1994).
The ASI Alumni Chapter joins the existing eight special interest alumni chapters and clubs that members of the Cal Poly Pomona Alumni Association are eligible to join. The next ASI chapter meeting will take place on Oct. 15.
Established in 1963, Associated Students, Inc. is a recognized auxiliary organization of Cal Poly Pomona that is led, funded and mainly staffed by students. ASI provides for student representation at the campus and system-wide level and offers leadership development through student government, student-led programming, student employment and student involvement in a wide array of Bronco Student Center programs and services.
