Assessment

ADVANCE is working to assess the status of women in the STEM disciplines, establish a baseline for measuring improvements, and establish database for ongoing use.

  • Initial baseline data collected for ADVANCE depicts Cal Poly Pomona faculty perceptions on women’s advancement in STEM disciplines.

  • Report documents the findings of focus groups conducted in Spring 2007 with faculty in STEM disciplines that attempted to ascertain the current strengths of recruiting and career development efforts for new female faculty in these disciplines.

  • ADVANCE Topicals report findings to the campus on assessment, recruitment, career development and leadership development in the STEM disciplines. ADVANCE Topicals are distributed quarterly.
