MDPT (Math Diagnostic Placement Test)

MPT (Microcomputer Proficiency Test)

A passing score on the MPT exempts students from taking CIS 101 or CE 210/L. The MPT is administered Monday - Friday at 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on a first come first serve basis in the Test Center, CLA Building (98-P2-004). To take the test, you must arrive at least 30 minutes early. Special circumstance may require the closing of the room on an as need basis. Please call one business day in advance to confirm the test will be offered. A $10 fee is charged for the test. The MPT consists of four separate sections in Office 2010 (Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint) and you must pass each section with a score 70% or higher.

TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)

Cal Poly Pomona does not handle registration for the TOEFL.  For information, contact the TOEFL/TSE Services, (609) 771-7100, (877) 863-3546, or click TOEFL website link www.toefl.org.  TOEFL preparation classes are offered through the Cal Poly English Language Institute (CPELI), Building 86, (909) 869-4814.  Please request TOEFL results to be mailed directly to Cal Poly Pomona, Admissions Office, (Institution Code: 4082).
