TENURE-TRACK FACULTY POSITIONS

 

 

The Civil Engineering Department at California State Polytechnic University , Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona) invites applications for multiple tenure-track positions at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor to begin September 22, 2008 . The Department serves approximately 1,200 undergraduate and graduate students.

 

The Position: The successful applicants will have primary expertise in one of the following areas, with skills and interest in the application of this expertise to civil engineering practice:

 

 

The primary responsibilities for each position are to teach the theory and practice of civil engineering to both undergraduate and graduate students. Additional responsibilities include supervising student projects, advising students, serving on department, college, and university committees, enhancing laboratory facilities, generating external funding, and other related duties.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

Professional registration as a licensed civil engineer or licensed land surveyor in California will be required before tenure can be granted.

Finalists will be required to submit official transcripts from accredited educational institutions, and arrange for three recent letters of recommendation to be sent to the search committee.

 

Priority will be given to applications postmarked by December 22, 2007 , but all positions will remain open until filled. Materials submitted by the candidate will be available for examination by all faculty members in the department.
