The College Reading Skills Program awards College Completion Challenge Grants of at least $600 to eligible participants. To be eligible, a participant must be a freshman or sophomore receiving a Pell Grant. Other factors may apply; students must meet with a program advisor before eligibility can be confirmed.

Eligible participants must complete several CRSP requirements to receive a grant. These requirements afford students opportunities to familiarize themselves with the campus community and to enhance academic, professional, cultural or personal growth. These requirements include:

Attending tutorials to complete a minimum of 8 sessions per quarter.
Having no more than 2 absences from tutorial sessions during each quarter.
Participating in CRSP’s professional mentoring activity.
Attending at least one peer mentoring session per quarter.
Completing one approved on-campus cultural event or academic workshop.
Attending an end-of-quarter meeting with a program advisor.

The College Reading Skills Program has been awarding College Completion Challenge Grants since Fall 2001 and is excited to continue offering such a valuable opportunity to students.
