Charge for 2007-2008

The Web Guidance Committee’s tasks for 2007-2008 are as follows:

  • Recommend web privacy best practices and policies.  There is a state law that requires us to have privacy polices on web pages;
  • Recommend practices and policies relating to intellectual property on the web and talk about best practices for use of trademarks.
  • Look into enforcement of accessibility which is required by the Accessible Technology Initiative (ATI) and for encouraging and rewarding compliance.  We want to encourage the basic best practices of web design; make it easy to use; and, at the same time accessible.  We want people to look at elegant well done web sites that are accessible.
