Park entrance/Parking
Team entrance/parking permits will be available at the Shilo
Hilltop or at the entrance to the park on Thursday and Friday
Nov. 6 and 7. Friday parking permits will be in your declaration
packet.
Course Description:
The course is run on grass, Equestrian Trails and some crossings
of asphalt roads. Park entrance/Parking Team entrance/parking
permits will be available at the Shilo Hilltop or at the entrance
to the park on Thursday and Frida,y Nov. 6 and 7. Friday parking
permits will be in your declaration packet. Course Preview from
9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 6 and Friday, Nov. 7 to avoid
traffic. You will encounter traffic problems after 2 p.m.
Location:
13 miles South of Shilo Hilltop Suites and Shilo Inn.
Entry Procedure:
Entry procedure will be as outlined in the 2003 NCAA Cross Country
Championship handbook available on NCAA
Web site. If you have further questions or haven’t
received the information please call the regional director or
fax Don Chadez at (714) 970-1416. See entry roster for deadlines.
Declarations:
Final declarations must be made in person by a university representative
on Friday, Nov. 7, 2003 between 4 and 5:30 p.m. at Scoreboard
America's Sports Grill (next to Shilo Inn, across the street
from the Shilo Suites). The room is down stairs as you enter
the restaurant and to the end of the hall. The coaches' technical
meeting will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the same location and
room as the declaration. Snacks/drinks will be served prior
to and after the meeting. All participating schools must have
a representative pick up declared bid numbers and final meet
information. The West Regional coaches' meeting will immediately
follow the technical meeting. Coache’s Association dues
are due at this time. The Cross Country and Track Coaches' Association
are now one in the same.
Coaches Technical Meeting
The Meeting begins at 7 p.m. Friday at the same location and
room as the declaration. Snacks/drinks will be served prior
to and after the meeting. College/Universities must be represented
to pick up declared bib numbers and final meet information.
West Regional Coaches Meeting
This meeting will immediately follow the technical meeting.
Coach’s Association dues are due at this time.
XC and Track Coaches Association are now one in the Same.
Facilities:
The park does have toilet facilities but portable toilet’s
will be in use grouped specifically In the team camp area and
warm up area. The host hotel may not accommodate late check
out because of the lateness of competition and the number of
teams at the hotel. Locker rooms at Cal Poly Pomona will be
available after the regional competition (men in bldg. 43 and
women in bldg. 41). Participants must bring their must own towels.
Athletic Trainer:
Athletic trainers are available daily at Cal Poly Pomona from
8 a.m. through 5 p.m. and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the course
on race day. Our head trainer, Ruem Malasarn and his staff will
be happy to assist your athletes (you must provide your own
supplies).
Awards:
Top 15 pictures will be taken immediately following each race.
Coaches association individual and team awards will be presented
following the women’s race.
Souvenirs:
Official NCAA souvenirs will be available Friday from 3 to 5
p.m. and 7 – 8 p.m. in the Shilo Inn lobby and at the
course on Saturday from 9 a.m. through the completion of the
awards presentation.

Association team awards and top 15 Certificates immediately
following the women’s race. Results Available following
review by games committee at the course and Shilo Suites Lobby.
