Broncos Sweep Past Alliant

POMONA ¾ Cal Poly Pomona’s men’s tennis team continued its winning ways.

The Broncos won their fourth straight match, rolling past Alliant International, 9-0, Wednesday afternoon at Cal Poly Pomona. The Broncos, ranked 24^th in the nation, once again got solid production throughout their lineup. Cal Poly Pomona was coming off a huge 7-2 victory over #17 UC Davis, but there was no letdown for the Broncos on Wednesday.

JR Villaroman (Sr., Anaheim, Troy HS) was victorious at No. 1 singles, 6-2, 6-4, and teamed with Seamus Sullivan (Jr., Palos Verdes, Peninsula HS) for a win at No. 1 doubles, 8-0. The Broncos also got singles victories from Andy Roland (Jr., Hollywood, Glendale CC) at No. 2 singles, 6-0, 6-3; Ryan Terry (Jr., Diamond Bar, Diamond Bar HS) at No. 3 singles, 6-2, 6-2; Sullivan at No. 4 singles, 6-2, 6-4, Nguyen Than (Jr., Garden Grove, Loara HS) at No. 5 singles, 6-1, 6-1 and A.J. Feliz (Sr., San Gabriel, New Mexico Military Institute) at No. 6 singles, 6-1, 6-0.

Roland and Terry teamed up to win at No. 2 doubles, 8-2, while Than and David Nguyen (So., Los Angeles, Beverly Hills HS) won at No. 3 doubles, 8-1.
