for monitoring and reporting on clubs financial standing.
Responsible for reimbursement procedure for club expenses.
Assist vice president in preparing agenda and responsible
for “minutes” of club meetings (when applicable). Publicity
Coordinator Responsible
for publicizing all club events and activities. Must notify
fellow officers of any upcoming club activities. In
particular, main duties will be to make and post fliers for
meetings, as well as going to department classes and
announcing meetings. Engineering
Council Representative Responsible
for attending the engineering council meetings as the SME
representative. Duties include updating SME officers of
upcoming events discussed at the engineering council
meeting, as well as to inform the engineering council of
upcoming SME events. Webmaster Main
duty is to start up and maintain SME web page. Will be
responsible for web page layout, and seek fellow
officers’ input if necessary. Ideally, once the web
page is constructed an instruction sheet on web page
maintenance should be made so that fellow and future
officers will be able to maintain and update the web page. Westec
Project Manager Responsible
for planning and coordination of the Westec Project. Duties
include project status reports (verbal or written) to fellow
officers, as well as making announcements at club meetings.
May call special Westec meetings for officers or project
team members. (May coordinate with publicity officers if
necessary.)
In addition to
general club meetings we will also have officer meetings on a
semi-regular basis. The purpose of the officer meetings is to convey
any information related to the club, and in particular, information
regarding planning for club activities and events. The main thing
that needs to be stressed is that we need to communicate with one
another in order to be successful in our endeavors as a club. As
officers of SME we have the responsibility to provide an environment
that will positively enhance our club members’ experiences as an
engineering student at Cal Poly Pomona.
