May 19th – 20th.  A fun-filled overnight activity that mobilizes communities across the country to celebrate survivorship, remember those who lost their lives to cancer, and raise money for the fight against cancer. This is an American Cancer Society signature activity.

Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship: The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of California, Santa Cruz, is offering nine Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowships (SURF) during the summer of 2007. Our program will begin on Monday, June 25 and run for 10 weeks until August 31, 2007.  Each SURF student will receive a stipend of $3,750 in addition to on-campus housing, and will be involved in a collaborative research project with a UC Santa Cruz faculty member.

California Water Awareness Campaign-Water Scholar 2007 Scholarship Opportunity:  They will be awarding two (2) $2,500 scholarships to applicants who demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in the water industry. Contact Dr. Keith for more info.

The Hispanic Scholarship Fund has scholarships available for Chemistry majors!

Latest News!!!

Our chapter received an "Outstanding" award chapter from the National ACS at this years Spring 2006 national meeting in Atlanta. 

Thank you to all of those who have made this club what it is, by participating in our events, like the picnics, dinners, house painting, and various other community services.  It is Because of you that SAACS' future looks brighter than ever before.
