Student Employment & Payroll Workshops will be held on September 10th (9:00 - 11:00 a.m.) and September 11th (2:00 - 4:00 p.m.). If you hire student workers, don't miss this workshop! Seating is limited for each session, so be sure to register for the session of your choice as soon as possible. The workshops will be held in the CLA Building 98, Room P2-7 (located on the 2nd floor across from the Academic Senate Office).

Special Paycheck Distribution for August Payday Payday for the August 2008 payroll is August 29th, a Friday off on the 4/10 Summer Work Schedule. The campus cannot release paychecks earlier than August 29th. In order to provide employees with timely distribution, Cashiering Services will conduct a special distribution for employees who would like to pick up their paychecks on Friday, August 29th. The distribution will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Cashier's Office, located at the Aratani Japanese Garden entrance of University Financial Services, CLA Building 98. A Photo ID is required.

Faculty/Unit 3 June 30, 2008 Pay Increase - A 2% increase will be reflected in the July 2008 paychecks for Faculty/Unit 3 employees.
The state's budget has not yet been set for 2008/09. The 2008/09 faculty pay increases are based on the CSU receiving an amount in the Budget Act for 2008/09 consistent with the Compact (see Article 31.11 of the Faculty/Unit 3 Collective Bargaining Agreement).

Equity Award Program for Assistant Professors and Equivalent Faculty Ranks - Equity increases for faculty eligible under this program have been processed. Increases were reflected in the April 2008 paychecks. All retroactive pay has issued and been released to eligible faculty.

Unit 4 Merit Bonus Awards - Employees eligible for the Unit 4 Merit Bonus Award have been notified this month. Merit Bonus Award payments will be released to departments no later than May 16, 2008.

Systemwide Funded In-Range Progression Salary Increases for CSUEU (Units 2, 5, 7 and 9) Employees - The Systemwide Funded In-Range Progression Salary Increases are currently being processed and May 2008 paychecks will reflect the new salary rates for employees awarded this salary increase. Retroactive pay adjustments for affected employees will be released to departments no later than May 23, 2008.

Minimum Wage Increase - Effective January 1, 2008, the California minimum wage increased to $8.00 per hour and the California State University changed the salary range minimums for all student assistant classifications.
