Retroactive Pay Increases - Units 2, 5, 7 & 9 (CSUEU)

RETROACTIVE PAY ADJUSTMENTS

The following information is now available regarding the 2007/08 salary program for CSUEU (Units 2, 5, 7, & 9) employees:

3.457% General Salary Increase (GSI), effective July 2007 pay period
1.0% Service Salary Increase (SSI) on anniversary date
8.457% increase to the SSI Maximum of all classes, effective July 2007 pay period
Rural Health Care Stipend of $1,000
Parking Fees will be increased by 3.457%

The State Controller's Office will update Employment History Files and process retroactive pay adjustments for the GSI by Friday, December 14 , 2007. Payroll Services will then begin the reconciliation process to identify any adjustments that did not issue or may require further action/processing by our unit.

Payroll Services is committed to releasing the retroactive pay adjustments to affected employees as quickly as possible. Due to the volume and complexity of the reconciliation process for the GSI pay adjustments, we plan to release the retroactive pay adjustments to the departments on Friday, December 21, 2007. When the checks are ready for disbursement, we will notify the departmental staff authorized to pick up checks.

The SSI payments will be manually processed and as the retroactive pay adjustments are generated, they will be reconciled and released to departments on a flow basis.

Payroll Services will be working many additional hours in order to be able to release the GSI retroactive pay adjustments before the campus closure. In addition, Payroll Services has to complete the December payroll process by Monday, December 24, 2007 in order to be able to release checks to employees on December 31st . During this period, please limit your inquiries to Payroll Services so that we may complete these processes as quickly and efficiently as possible. We appreciate your support and cooperation.
