Waste Not, Want Not

Knowledge is a product of the learning process. Yet to attain knowledge and not advance it, use it or share it is a waste of effort and potential.

Cal Poly Pomona is founded upon the "learn by doing" philosophy. Its ultimate goal is not the attainment but rather the dissemination of knowledge. That is why I believe it is important this university offers itself as a resource to residents, school districts, businesses and agencies within the neighboring communities.

Our College of the Extended University has long sought to provide resources and assistance to area interests. Its newly completed Center for Training, Technology & Incubation, or CTTI, is an exceptional step in encouraging and supporting the creation of local businesses and business opportunities.

You can learn more about CTTI and other aspects of Cal Poly Pomona in this issue of Panorama. We invite your feedback and welcome any comments or suggestions you might have for future issues.
