California's Future
In June, Cal Poly Pomona hosted eight commencement
ceremonies, one for each of our colleges and school,
celebrating the achievement of more than 3,600
graduates. That’s a lot of handshaking, but it stands as
my personal highlight of the year.
Similar events took place throughout
the state at the other 22 California State
University campuses. All told, around 88,000 students earned their
degrees from CSU campuses this spring — every one of them
positioned to make a difference. That’s more than every
University of California campus and private university
in California combined! This is our essential function as
the CSU prepares most of the graduates in California’s
critical industries, such as engineering, business,
agriculture, criminal justice, hospitality/tourism, social
work, public administration and education. Read more...
