Graduate and Professional School Day - Oct. 12
The Golden Key National Honor Society is hosting the higher education fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the University Quad. The fair brings together representatives from more than 100 universities and programs across the country to provide information about graduate school opportunities.

"Represent" - Through Oct. 19
The art exhibit "Represent" featuring Mark Greenfield, Gilbert "Magu" Lujan, Betty Lee, Thomas McGovern and Ben Sakoguchi will be showcased at the W. Keith and Janet Kellogg University Art Gallery. Derived from hip-hop vocabulary, "Represent" calls on the artists to speak to their communities, which range from Chinese-American to AIDS related. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday noon to 4 p.m. (909) 869-4302.


Career Day - Oct. 19
Make connections and discover career opportunities at this large, outdoor job fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the University Quad. Those looking for a full-time, part-time, co-op or internship position will have a chance to talk with more than 250 companies from a wide variety of industries and governmental agencies. Bring resumés and dress for success.

Annual Pumpkin Festival - Oct. 20-21
Pick your own pumpkins from the College of Agriculture's pumpkin patch, and enjoy food, game booths, a petting zoo, music and much more. Pumpkins range from softball to basketball size, and pickers are advised to bring gloves and shears. Pumpkin Festival admission is free, and it is open to the public. The popular Insect Fair, featuring educational displays and demonstrations, will run concurrently. Insect Fair admission is $4 for adults, $3 for children under 12, and children 2 and under are free. Wellness Fair 2001 - Oct. 25
The annual outdoor Wellness Fair, hosted by Student Health Services, will feature many exhibitors to answer health questions, distribute educational literature, administer free assessments and give away health-friendly samples. The free event will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the University Quad. (909) 869-5309.


Admissions Day - Oct. 27
High school seniors with a 3.0 GPA or higher can receive an admissions decision on the spot during Admissions Day. They could also tour the campus, meet faculty, staff and students as well as attend helpful workshops. Reservations are required. (909) 869-3262.


Grand Opening Celebration - Nov. 6 You're invited to the grand opening celebration of the newest addition to the Cal Poly Pomona engineering complex. Experience the state-of-the-art learning environment, with 36 laboratory suites, designed to continue our polytechnic approach. This beautiful new facility will provide the College of Engineering a reinforced foundation for educating the next generation of engineering professionals. Join the celebration on Tues., Nov. 6 at the Center Court, building 17. "Tartuffe" by Molière - Nov. 8-18
The Theatre department will perform the 17th century play "Tartuffe" by Molière in the University Theatre. In the five-act comedy, Orgon is so charmed by Tartuffe, a con artist posing as a religious zealot, he brings him into his home as an esteemed guest. Although Orgon's entire family sees through Tartuffe's masquerade, Orgon doesn't find out until it's too late. For ticket prices and performance times, call (909) 869-3800.
