| The Cal Poly Pomona Pace Setters
are retired faculty and staff of the university and the Cal Poly
Pomona Foundation, Inc. Pace Setters get the opportunity to remain
connected with Cal Poly Pomona and their former colleagues by receiving
timely information, the chance to meet with each other and to visit
the campus. Any Cal Poly Pomona faculty, staff or foundation employee
who has retired can become an active member of the Cal Poly Pomona
Pace Setters. Upon request, a spouse who is not a retiree from the
university or the foundation may become an associate member without
paying dues.
The Board-- Members elect a president, vice
president, secretary, treasurer, newsletter editor, and three board
members every two years.
Membership Benefits-- Pace Setters keep
in touch with each other through their bi-annual luncheons, special
events, and newsletter.Luncheons are held on campus
each Spring and Fall quarter. They provide a time for meeting old
friends, reminiscing and catching up on Cal Poly today. The Newsletter
lets Pace Setters share information with each other and be kept
abreast of important campus and retirement-related information.
The Pace Setters Website will try to keep up to date
with developments between newsletters.
CSU-ERFA -- Many of the Pace Setters are
members of the CSU Emeritus and Retired Faculty Association (ERFA).
Being affiliated with ERFA, Pace Setters are represented on the
State Council, receive rebates on a portion of dues, and benefit
from a supportive relationship with ERFA. Cal Poly Pomona's staff
is included in ERFA.
By-Laws-- Established in 1991, the by-laws
are the guiding document for the organization.
