Welcome to the e-home of the Multi-Cultural Council(MCC) at Cal Poly Pomona. MCC is made up of 25 cultural, religious, and social student organizations, each contributing something very unique to the larger campus community. This website has been designed as a networking resource for MCC organizations as well as the larger campus community. We hope to create a forum where we are able to educate each other about social inequities occurring within our communities, so that we are able to take collective actions.
The mission of the Multi-Cultural Council of California State
Polytechnic University, Pomona is to develop greater social awareness amongst
it's related member organizations, students, faculty, staff, the Associated
Students Incorporated (ASI), and university administrators, extending our
efforts into the community.
We are committed to excellence and building a
greater understanding and appreciation of diversity as an essential part of the
educational environment. We strive to learn from each other in an atmosphere of
positive engagement and mutual respect, to develop citizens with a social
consciousness, to disseminate knowledge and it's application designed to educate
people, to promote social justice, to ultimately improve the human
condition.
We administer funds in support of clubs and organizations and build trust through collaborations among various clubs on campus. We encourage active involment through diverse cross-cultural programming, leadership development and creating an atmosphere of unity through diversity.
