Custom Cuts
The Meat Science facility at Cal Poly will custom cut the following items for your freezer. The price per pound is based on the hanging weight (weight before cutting which is given in blue below). The price per pound includes slaughtering, aging, cutting to your specifications, double freezer wrapping, labeling, and quick freezing. This is a very economical way of purchasing meat. These prices are subject to change without notice based on market supply and demand. Orders are taken throughout the year. Prices below were as of 7.18.12. We can custom slaughter your animals or you can purchase ours raised on the Cal Poly campus farm. We offer slaughtering of beef, pigs, sheep, veal, or goats for a variety of events both large and small. Our services include cutting meat to your specifications. We can provide you with Kailua (under ground style) or luau (spit style) pigs. Call for current pricing on these services. We offer a volume discount for boxed meat for special occasions or for your freezer. Here are some pictures of past catered events where our meat was used.
