How to Interpret ELM Test Scores
 

Enroll in the following courses when you receive your test scores:

Course
Score on ELM taken after March 23, 2002
Score on ELM taken before March 23, 2002
Math 10
0 - 32
0- 400
Math 11
34 - 40
410 - 490
Math 12
42 - 48
500 - 540
Math 191 / Sta 120
50 - 80
550 -700

If you earn a score below 50 on the ELM and have no exemption from the ELM, you must take the appropriate preparatory mathematics course(s).

For questions concerning placement or registration, please visit the Math Department’s web site at http://www.csupomona.edu/~math/diag.html  or stop by the Dept. office in 8-113.

With a passing score of 50 or higher, you are eligible to enroll in the two college level courses listed above. Your placement is valid within 4 quarters of your ELM test date.  Check with your major department to determine whether these courses are appropriate for you.
