Welcome Preparatory Mathematics Program (PMP)

Preparatory Mathematics Program (PMP) is a component of the Mathematics Department whose purpose is to instruct students in pre-college mathematics and to give them the skills to succeed in college mathematics classes as well as other classes that utilize mathematics. The Program consists of three courses, two workshops, and a tutoring center.

The three courses in the PMP are Math 010, Pre-Algebra; Math 011, Basic Algebra; and Math 012, Intermediate Algebra. Students in Math 010 utilizes the ALEKS web-based system for assessment and learning. Students will learn through the self-paced system. Students in Math 011 are required to register for and attend a workshop that meets twice a week.
