- Biological and Agricultural Index Plus : Contains citations to articles from more than 250 periodicals. Periodical coverage includes a wide range of scientific journals, from popular to professional, that pertain to biology and agriculture.
- General Science Full Text : Covers almost 200 popular and scholarly science journals, including some of the most commonly referenced medical journals. Full text coverage of about one-third of these titles.
- OmniFile: covers general science along with business, social science, humanities, and general periodicals; includes the full-text articles from the 3 listed above.
Agricola: The database of the National Agricultural Library, Agricola covers journal literature, books, conferences, and reports in agriculture and related areas. Coverage is 1970 to present.
BasicBIOSIS: A biological reference collection that covers nearly 350 core life science journals as well as meeting reports, reviews, and newspapers. Coverage is a rolling five-year file, growing to 5 years.
Compendex: Indexes journals, conference proceedings, reports, and papers from engineering societies. All engineering disciplines are covered as are computer science, biotechnology, and other applied sciences. 1970 to present.

Journal Group Sites - Electronic Journals
These sites provide access to groups of electronic journals from various publishers. They also serve as mini-databases in that researchers can search all journals in the group with a single search statement, but when using these products keep in mind that you are only searching journals from a single publisher. All of these Journal Group Sites are available on our Science and Engineering Databases menu.
- ACM Digital Library: Provides access to journals published by the Association of Computing Machinery.
- ACS Web: Complete content of some 30 journals published by the American Chemical Society. Other publications are also available.
- ASCE Publications: Complete content of journals published by the American Society of Civil Engineers. The journals and other ASCE publications are searchable through the Civil Engineering Database that is also available on the website. The Civil Engineering Database is also available from ASCE; it indexes all ASCE publications 1975 to present.
- IEEE Xplore: Journals and conference proceedings from IEEE and IEE, IEEE standards.
- Science Direct: Provides access to the Elsevier Science journal collection of over 1,200 titles. Researchers can search the entire database of articles, search individual journals, or browse tables of contents. Subject coverage is science, technology, medicine, psychology, and social science.
- Scitation (formerly AIP Journal Center) Provides access to journals published by the American Institute of Physics, ASCE, ASME, and other societies. The website also contains the SPIN database which can be used to search the contents of 80 physics journals.
- Wiley InterScience: Full-text access to some 300 journals published by Wiley. Researchers can search the entire database of articles, search individual journals, or browse tables of contents.
