5. Library Catalog 6. Databases |
3. Library Password
The Library's electronic resources (ebooks, ejournals, databases, etc.) are easily accessible from anywhere in the world. If you're using a computer not on the campus network you'll have to provide your Bronco number and Library Password before connecting to the resource. This authentication process enables the publisher or data provider to recognize you as a legitimate subscriber. You'll also need a Library Password to take advantage of many library services such as self-checkout, Link+, and Electronic Reserves. The Library Password used to be called a PIN. You might find references to a Library PIN on our website or hear your professor mention the Library PIN. Library Password and Library PIN are the same thing. Setting up your Library Password is easy. Go to http://www.csupomona.edu/˜library and click on My Library Account in the top banner or the PIN/Password link in the left side green column.
Then type your full name and Bronco ID number EXACTLY as it appears on your Bronco Access Card, along with a password of your choice.
When using any off-campus computer to search a library database, this window will appear before you're allowed access to the database itself. If you trouble creating your password, please visit the Circulation Desk on the 2nd floor. And if you have previously set up a library password but have forgotten it, please visit the Circulation Desk. The staff will be happy to help you.
