1. Introduction

Welcome! This tutorial will provide a general orientation to the Cal Poly Pomona Library and introduce you to the wealth of engineering resources available to Cal Poly Pomona students.

The links on the left are the main sections of the Tutorial. Each section contains several pages. Make sure you look at all of them. You can also go directly to any section, but note that later sections will refer to information explained in earlier sections. Also, all links to webpages not within this site will open in a new window.

Please complete the Library Exercise before you leave. It will help us evaluate the effectives of this tutorial and it gives you the opportunity to ask questions. EGR100 students must complete the exercise to receive credit for the Library segment of the course.

The first thing to learn about the Library is that every department or college has a librarian liaison who is responsible for helping the students and faculty of that unit. Please contact your Engineering Librarian at any time. I look forward to meeting you in person.
