About Renew Books

You can renew circulation books yourself if you have NO HOLDS, and NO OVERDUE BOOKS via My Library Account. However, this does not apply to Reserve, Periodical, or non-book materials.

  1. Log into My Library Account snap shot of my library account login screen
  2. Click on the ”Checked Out Item button. snap shot of my library account screen
    NOTE: A list of all your items checked out will appear on the screen.
  3. Click on “Renew all“ or snap shot of my library account checked out items screen
    click in the renew box for each item you want to renew and click on “Renew selected items“.
    NOTE: A new due date should appear in the status field or a message.

EXPLANATION

TOO SOON TO RENEW

Loan rule determines when during the loan period an item is eligible to be renewed.

TOO MANY RENEWALS

Loan rule specifies a maximum number of renewals allowed for an item. For 4-week loan, this is three (3) renewals.

ON HOLD (XXHOLDS)

Another patron has placed a hold on the item. Usually a recall notice has been issued.

ITEM IS OVERDUE

Overdue items, including billed items, cannot be renewed in the self-renew function.

ITEM CANNOT BE RENEWED

Loan rule does not allow renewals.

REMEMBER -- Log out Your Library Account when you have completed your transaction!

If you are unable to renew your books, bring them to the Library Circulation Desk for assistance.
