Political Science 201:
Introduction to American Government

 Syllabus  Lectures/Terms  Links
 Sample Tests  Message Board Assignments

As most students in political science 201 are not political science majors, this web page is created to make it easier to obtain basic information, facilitate class interaction, and to add interest to the class. The lecture outlines are meant to convey what areas will be covered in class. They are not a substitute for attending class as you will not be able to get the in-depth information that is available only in class. Questions will be posted on the Chat Board to facilitate class discussions and to encourage you to share ideas with fellow students. Some of you might even want to establish study groups after you have communicated through the Chat Board. You might want to explore sites on the web through the links provided and have exchanges about them with your clasmates via the Chat Board. The Test Items provide sample questions with links to anwers. These will give you an idea of the sorts of questions you can expect on exams and allow you to take a short test to see "where you are" before you take the real exam. As all of you have computer accounts provided by the university, I hope that you enjoy these features of the course as well as you enhoy what happens in the classroom.
