The first step towards pursuing Employee Fee Waiver Career Development, is to schedule an appointment with the Employee Fee Waiver Coordinator:
| Janet Cain, Interim Fee Waiver Coordinator University Risk Management Telephone: 909-869-3727 E-mail: jlcain@csupomona.edu |
This step includes an eligibility check and directions on how to quickly and effectively complete your Individual Career Development Plan (ICDP). This appointment can be conducted over the telephone or in person and usually takes from 10 to 30 minutes. Walk-in appointments are not always available, so please contact us for an appointment time.
Complete and submit your Individual Career Development Plan (ICDP) for review and approval. Once your management line has approved your ICDP, please submit the completed form directly to the Employee Fee Waiver Coordinator. You will receive an e-mail to confirm both receipt and the status of the Employee Fee Waiver Coordinator's review of the document submitted.
The Fee Waiver Program provides for a reduction and waiver of certain fees, but does not change admission requirements and timelines. For Cal Poly Pomona Admissions information, visit: http://dsa.csupomona.edu/admissions/.
If you are instead applying for admission to another CSU campus, please visit their admissions/enrollment services site for information and timelines.
Complete an Employee Fee Waiver Application. Course information is not necessary at this time; instead, indicate the waiver request is for admission/application fee only. You do not need your manager's signature on this waiver. Once complete, submit the form to Cal Poly Pomona Human Resources (HR). Once approved by HR, the waiver will be either:
Upon notification of admission to the University, complete and submit another Employee Fee Waiver Application. Course information should be included at this time and your management line must approve the waiver. Then, submit the waiver form to Cal Poly Pomona Human Resources. You will need to submit waivers for each quarter/semester and you should always submit your waivers as soon as possible in order to give us turnaround time to review, approve, and transmit the waiver either to:
It is important that your waivers be filed in a timely manner each quarter/semester. Late waivers may result in full fee assessments, with the possibility of reimbursement (reimbursements don't occur until about the 9th week of the quarter), or your classes may be purged, requiring you to late register and being subject to late registration fees.
Register for your selected course(s) at Cal Poly Pomona. You will need to complete paperwork to update us and/or request approval for any changes, should you need to add or drop courses. Contact the Registrar's Office or visit their website at http://www.dsa.csupomona.edu/registrar/ for details and information about registration.
When approved for Fee Waiver, and having followed the above steps, your balance due for enrolling in two classes or six (6) units, whichever is greater, should be reduced to $3.00. The reduction in fees is applied by Cashiers after the close of the pre-registration period, or if you are late registering it is applied after the close of the late registration period. Please make sure you pay your balance due by the deadline to pay fees.
