Analysis, installation, modification and maintenance of operating systems, utilities, and related software and systems, including physical databases. Responsible for the availability, integrity and reliability of systems.
This employee typically works on servers or server based information systems. Installs and configures operating systems, database applications or mid/large scale business applications. Responsible for the security and integrity of the systems. May provide direct support for the work of Analyst/Programmers and may also interact with other campus IT support personnel or be part of a unit support team which includes IT Consultants and/or Equipment Systems Specialists.
