WELCOME
TO BIOLOGY 490! Scientific Communication II (BIO 490) is an important capstone course for all the majors offered in the Department of Biological Sciences--Biology, Botany, Microbiology, Zoology, and Biotechnology. The biology faculty feel strongly that being able to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, is critical to your success as a biologist after leaving the university. You will produce two products for this course on an area of current research. The topic area must be approved in advance by me.
Grading: The written report is worth 45 points, the oral report is worth 45 points and class participation is worth 10 points. click here to learn more about the April 24 Library Workshop on Writing a Scientific Paper |
