    1. Identifying appropriate information sources
    2. Critically evaluating scientific literature on human sexuality
    3. Critically evaluating information from the popular media for biological accuracy, biases, prejudices, assumptions and judgments
    4. Understanding the essential role of the Scientific Method in human sexuality
  2. Value the biological foundations of human sexuality, particularly human anatomy and physiology
  3. Use a biological knowledge base in order to think independently and understand the relevance of biology in forming opinions and ideas concerning their own human sexual behavior
  4. Evaluate psychological and social aspects of human sexuality within the biological framework
  5. Assess ethical issues relating to human sexuality
  6. Understand the epidemiology of STDs and AIDS, societal impacts, ethical issues and prevention.
  7. Appreciate how the scientific method is used to develop treatments for STDs and AIDS.
