Stay Connected with the College of Engineering

You are invited to engage with the campus, students, and other alumni and industry leaders at a College of Engineering student event.

Engineering Project Symposium

Every May, more than 400 undergraduate and graduate students present dozens of projects and exhibits in approximately 20 simultaneous sessions for review by faculty, industry representatives, other students, and guests. This is a significant learning experience stressing teamwork, organization, and communication.

  • You are welcome to attend and provide feedback to the presenting students. Online registration is available about a month prior to the event.
  • Consider becoming a sponsor for this event. Contact us today if you are interested.

Student Leadership Retreat

Each May, nearly 200 student officers from 35 different engineering clubs attend a one day event, to learn important leadership skills as well as event planning, business etiquette, and more. This event helps the club officers transfer vital information and experience with each other in addition to establishing club objectives and planning activities for upcoming year.

  • Guest speakers are an important part of the experience for the student leaders. Contact us if you would like to be considered as a guest speaker for this event.
  • Consider becoming a sponsor for this event. Contact us today if you are interested.

Engineering Open House

In February, approximately 2,000 attendees including potential students and their families have a chance to explore Cal Poly Pomona engineering programs and more. The Engineering Neighborhood and engineering labs are open to the public with an opportunity to interact with current engineering students, faculty, and alumni. Visitors can also investigate student clubs, take a tour of the campus, or visit the residence halls.

  • You are invited to serve as an alumni greeter for this effort to educate the public about engineering and promote Cal Poly Pomona to potential students. Contact us if you would like to serve as an alumni greeter for this event.
