Installing the templates in a Dreamweaver site

Although the templates can be downloaded individually, they are best available in a compressed .zip archive. Once you have downloaded the archive, you will need to expand it. If you don't already have software to do this, we have successfully used:

Both are free. Be sure to use the option to preserve paths, so that the expanded files will be in the proper directories. The four resulting directories, css, examples, img, and Templates, should be placed into the folder holding your Dreamweaver site, so that when you are done, it looks like this:

It is crucial that the folders be in this arrangement, and that their names not be changed. Dreamweaver automatically recognizes templates located in the local Templates folder of any site.

You can start using the templates right away, just like any other Dreamweaver template, but you'll probably want to pick one or more of the eight different navigation styles to match the needs of your site, and you'll want to customize the chosen templates.
