General guidelines for publishing pages to eHelp
This guide assumes that you have already created pages/files in Dreamweaver for eHelp, and that you have permission to access it.
On your local files:
- In the destination folder, delete the files that will no longer be used. Note the pages that link to them (Dreamweaver will warn you) in case you missed any dependencies.
- Move the files you just created into the appropriate folder.
Note: Dreamweaver will adjust all the links.
- Adjust any broken links that you noted in Step 1.
- Test the local files to make sure they work properly.
- Synchronize the folder that contains these new files with the remote version of the site; ask it to delete files not on local.
- Synchronize all the changed files outside of the folder that contains the new files.
NOTE: DO NOT delete remote files unless you know they are unnecessary.
- Test the remote files to make sure they work properly.
