Uninstalling SpamBayes

NOTE: These instructions are for uninstalling SpamBayes on a Windows operating system. This is a two step process.

Step 1. Make sure Microsoft Outlook is closed. From the "Start Menu" select the "Control Panel." In the Control Panel select "Add/Remove Programs." Once Add/Remove Programs is open, scroll down to the "S" section and locate the SpamBayes plug-in. Click the SpamBayes plug-in once to bring up the add/remove options screen and click "Remove."

Step 2. Open Microsoft Outlook. At this point you will still see the SpamBayes toolbar – this is because of a bug in the software. You can manually delete this toolbar by following these simple instructions:

Right-click on the SpamBayes toolbar.
Choose "Customize."
Select the SpamBayes toolbar (make sure it is checked off) and click "Delete."
When prompted to confirm the deletion click "OK."

At this point, SpamBayes is now completely removed from your system.
