Portfolio Materials
As discussed in class, you should have the following materials contained in your portfolios, to be turned in on Tuesday, March 12th, or Thursday, March 14th, at the latest.
1. 8 - 10 reading responses, drawn from Hextor, Popol Vuh,
Amos, Buddhism, Taoism
and Confucianism, Zahak, Homer's and Lodge's Illiad plus Kitto,
Gassire's Lute, Antigone, Marilyn Arthur and Kitto on Polis, Job,
Matthew, "Oh, Gods" article, MLK's Letter. The ideal
was to have one per week, similar to a journal entry.
2. 2 or 3 free writes or essays. These can be based on questions and issues raised in class, those listed at the beginning of the syllabus, or anything provoked by the readings and class discussions that you are interested in pursuing.
3. 2 or 3 arts event responses. You could have attended the L.A. Philharmonic, Myth of Pomona, or campus concert.
4. Group Project. You made a presentation in class. Turn in your reflections or notes on this activity and experience.
The contents of your portfolio will be discussed in your exit interview.
