After showing improvement last season, Ferguson returns for her third year with the program. Will be counted on for significant minutes in the paint. Still needs to develop consistency in her game.
SOPHOMORE: Appeared in 26 games and started two times for the Broncos last season. Averaged 2.8 points and 2.6 rebounds per game. Poured in a career-high 10 points and grabbed six rebounds against Cal State San Bernardino ( 1-21-05 ). Also had eight points and two rebounds against Sonoma State ( 12-3-04 ). Had a career-high seven rebounds in games against Glenville State ( 12-11-04 ) and Chico State ( 2-19-05 ).
FRESHMAN : Appeared in 24 games as a true freshman in her Cal Poly Pomona debut. Averaged 1.1 points and 1.4 rebounds per game. Shot 58.3 percent from the field. Had a career-high six points, five rebounds and three blocks against Chico State ( 1-2-04 ). Also had five rebounds against Seattle Pacific ( 12-20-03 ).
AT BISHOP MONTGOMERY HS: As a senior, was named to the All-Del Ray League second team. Averaged seven points and seven rebounds per game. Was named the team's Most Improved Player and received the coach's award as a junior. Teams won three state high school championships and two CIF titles.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Kevin and Michelle Ferguson. Majoring in animal sciences. Enjoys animals, poetry and hanging out with friends. Lists winning three state championships and two CIF championships in high school as her most exciting experiences in sports.
