LEARNING CommunitiesThe Department has been awarded an Improving Teacher Quality Grant from the California Postsecondary Education Commission. The grant for the Math and Science Teacher Education, Recruitment, and Retention (MaSTER2) program is under the pipeline initiative with goals of improving the quantity and quality of teachers in math and science and establishing strong learning communities among local schools and the university.
