Background
Born in Sri Lanka; served as Acting Head, Analytical Division of the Ceylon Institute of Scientific and Industrial Research, Colombo; Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Toxicology at the University of Arizona, Tucson (1986-1988); Visiting Scientist in the laboratories of Prof. Masuo Aizawa, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan; Dr. Leif Nyholm, Uppsala University, Sweden and Prof. Hans Vos, Dublin City University, Ireland.
Interests, Activities & Plans
Research interests range from bioanalytical chemistry to applications of analytical chemistry to problems in environmental toxicology. The principle techniques used are spectroscopy and biosensors.
