  • Project Background Information
    As a part of the Excellence in Biology Teaching and Learning Program, members of the Biological Sciences Department have joined in a collaborative effort to develop a series of instructional modules for introductory laboratories in Biology.

  • Software Design and Development Information
    In both designing and using the modules, both instructors and students have been an integral part of the process. In the future, the authoring environment will allow users to create customized modules using pieces from existing modules and new materials.

  • Assessment and Module Statistics
    The CALI software system collects information while the modules are being used. It offers scores summarized by classroom section, users, and module. Additionally, performance data can help determine which concepts and questions are particularly difficult.
