CAMP FEATURES . . .

• Designed for junior high school & high school students - girls and boys ages 12 and over.
(NCAA regulations exclude this year’s high school graduates and junior college students.)
• Learn on an individual basis with personalized coaching. Coach to player ratio 1:8.
• Excellent facilities are available including: eight indoor volleyball courts and pool.
• Emphasis on the fundamental skills (morning session).
• Emphasis on defensive and offensive systems (afternoon session).
• Action films of Japanese Club Teams, Japan Cup, and Cal Poly.
• Specialized position training.
• Athletic trainer on staff.
• Camp T-shirt.
• Daily lunch

ABOUT THE HEAD CLINICIAN: ROSIE WEGRICH

Few personalities in volleyball can claim credentials as extensive as those of Rosie Wegrich. As a player, Rosie competed collegiately at San Diego State, where she captained the team. Following graduation, she embarked on a distinguished six-year tenure in the International Volleyball Association playing on three championship teams (‘75, ‘76, and ‘78) while being chosen Female MVP three consecutive times (‘77, ‘78, and ‘79) and earning All-Pro First Team honors every year during each of her six years.

Rosie coached at the Division I collegiate level for 17 years, 15 of them at the University of Arizona, where her teams qualified for NCAA competition 12 of the 15 years, finishing 9th four times. Rosie has taken the Cal Poly Pomona Broncos to post season play five out of eight years. The ‘92 and ‘97 teams, made it to the finals of the NCAA Southwest Regionals.

She has coached six All-Americans, two USA National Team Members, plus two Canadian National Team Members, and several professional players playing in Europe. Rosie was the head coach of the South Zone team which won the Silver medal at the1983 Olympic Festival and as assistant coach that won the gold in ‘88.
