MISSION STATEMENT

The Trophy Club was developed to strengthen ties among current and former teammates; coaching staff and supporters. The Trophy Club will act as the major fundraising arm for all Cal Poly Pomona women's basketball endeavors without endangering their eligibility. The Trophy Club will assist the program in a variety of ways, including: scholarships, uniforms, operational funds and any other needs determined by the head coach.

Scholarship Funds

By donating a women’s basketball scholarship you are not only investing in the future of our women’s basketball success, but also the future education of a student-athlete. Our student-athletes have gone on to be leaders in their chosen profession. Leaders in the teaching/coaching profession, law enforcement, banking, entertainment, and of course the only female NBA referee. We are looking to provide women’s basketball with an equivalency of two full scholarships. Full scholarship includes: room, board, books, and fees.

Uniforms

Need to purchase new game and practice gear. Current uniforms are three years old Uniforms and practice gear usually last three years. These funds would need to be renewed every three years.

Team Travel & Operational

In order for Cal Poly Pomona women’s basketball to excel at the Division II national level we must compete against strong teams outside our conference. These competetions are critical to the regional rankings. Without competing against these teams we are putting our NCAA tournament invitation at risk.

Media Guides

Due to the financial burden of the CSU budget it has been recommended we eliminate media guides from all sports. Media guides are an essential tool in recruiting quality student-athletes to our campus. Media guides are also important when promoting and marketing our women’s basketball program!
