The University Honors Program for high-achieving students provides coursework in lower division and upper division general education, along with some major courses. Honors courses are limited to 20 students. Students are invited to participate in honors events, have access to special advising, and opportunities to participate with faculty in research projects.
Incoming freshmen will be invited to apply to the Honors Program if they have scores of 550 or higher on both mat and verbal SAT tests and a GPA of 3.5 or above, or if they graduate in the top 5% of their class.
Freshmen who maintain a GPA of 3.5 in their first year at Cal Poly Pomona will also be invited to apply to the Honors Program.
